RUET Shines at ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional 2025 Online Preliminary Contest

Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) delivered an outstanding performance at the ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional 2025 Online Preliminary Contest on the November 15, 2025, sending 36 teams to compete among 1,842 university teams from across Bangladesh.

Two RUET teams particularly stood out, finishing 7th and 15th in the overall standings — placing them among the top 1% of competitors. The achievement underscores the strength and depth of RUET’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and highlights the university’s robust training infrastructure, including the RUET Programming Lab (RAPL) and dedicated mentorship programs.

The ICPC preliminary round tests participants’ ability to solve complex algorithmic problems under strict time constraints. RUET’s broad engagement, with dozens of participating teams, reflects a growing culture of competitive programming on campus.

This success not only positions RUET students for potential advancement to the next stages of ICPC, including regional finals, but also strengthens the university’s reputation for producing skilled algorithmic thinkers. The achievement is expected to inspire more students to take part in future programming competitions and contribute to technology innovation in Bangladesh and beyond.
